Public Hearing for Commercial Solar Farm set for December 30, 2025

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
MENARD COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
MENARD COUNTY, ILLINOIS
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that, on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at 6:00 p.m., a public hearing will be held by the Menard County Board of Commissioners at the Greenview Community Center, 114 North Engle Street, Greenview, Illinois.
The Menard County Board of Commissioners will consider a request and application for a special use permit pursuant to Menard County Ordinance adopted July 25, 2023, titled a “Solar Energy Siting Ordinance of Menard County”, to permit the siting of a commercial solar energy facility and related facilities (collectively, the “Solar Project”).
The Application is brought by Illinois PV Menard 1 LLC., a subsidiary of ENGIE Distributed Renewables Development, acting for itself. The Solar Project will be located on an approximately 23-acre parcel of land (PIN: 07-24-200-014) situated on Middletown Blacktop Avenue in Menard County, Illinois.
Comments may be submitted in writing to the County Board of Commissioners before the hearing and should be sent to: Menard County Board of Commissioners, Attention Ms. Martha Gum, County Clerk, Menard County Courthouse 102 South Seventh Street, Petersburg, II, 62675. Comments may also be made in-person at the meeting on December 30, 2025 at 6:00 P.M.
The application and other documents are on file and available for inspection at the Menard County Courthouse, 102 South Seventh Street, Petersburg, Illinois, during normal business hours.
All interested parties are invited to attend the public hearing and will be given an opportunity to be heard.
